Not just for Docks - Tender Steps and Dogs Delight
Share
When you create something and release it into the world, it's fun to see what other uses people find for what you've created. We started building Stowaway Steps to help boat and yacht owners to access their vessels from the dock, but our customers had other ideas.
We were wonderfully surprised to see how Debbie used the 2 Step Wide. She and her husband have a beautiful Tiara 3800 open 2004. On the back deck they have plentiful space for fishing and like most boats of this type, the step up to the gunwhale is substantial. The builder knew this and included an access step, but it is, by all accounts, very small.
Stepping up and onto the dock was often a challenge, especially when carrying groceries, supplies and coolers. Debbie purchased the 2 Step Wide and now employs it right next to the built-in step. She finds the wide, sure and stable step safer, easier and more comfortable, especially for those times when the boat is is rocking from passing wakes or even at anchor.
Their dog Beanie loves it too!
We've also started to see customers purchasing various models for use on board tenders, allowing easier access from the dinghy to the main vessel. As always, the convenience of disassembly allows the step to be stowed away, making room for fishing and other activities.
We love hearing stories of how people have utilized Stowaway Steps in new an interesting ways. Let us know if you found a unique use case!
