Customization
All Stowaway Steps can be customized! Most choose to engrave their boat name and home port.

- All customizations are carved into the face of the King Starboard ® King StarLite® panel using our CNC machine.
- No paint, inks or acrylics are used.
- See the sample images of customized panels.
- The engraving in solid black or white is subtle, but sophisticated due to the precision of the cutting. Black with white is a high contrast, more impactful effect.
- Like the Steps, the engraving will not rust, delaminate, rot or be affected by harsh environment conditions.
- You can easily reverse the custom panel in the event you want to hide the name.
Text Customization
- Enter up to 30 characters using capital and lower-case letters
- Choose from 8 different fonts
- Single Line or Double Line (for multi-part names or text)
- Longer Names: Choose font that will accommodate (Fonts: ‘Notable’ and “Prata’ have wide letters)
File Upload Customization
- Upload your own design file or image. We will create a custom tool path on the CNC just for your name! We keep the file on-hand for future orders!
- One Time Design Fee. You can then purchase as many fully custom panels as you like for just the cost of the engraving!
- We Only customize text! Customized images or logos are not available.
Font/Text Placement
- Text is placed vertically and horizontally centered in the printable area. 18 x 5 inches on the wide step and 7.5 x 5 inches on the narrow step.
- The font/text is sized “best to fit“ to maximize the size of the font in the space with the given text.
- We respect the breaks for those multi-part names, so be aware of the breaks you enter or breaks forced by longer names.
